Some nuevo (modern tango music) sounds like traditional tango music.. But most nuevo sounds tango'ish, as would be expected when traditional music was the inspiration of the modern artists.. Nuevo tango music is difficult to define.. If traditional is like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, then the evolution from the traditional created 31 flavors of tango music.. Some nuevo is beautiful, remarkable and unique, and these are the ones we play at oasis.. If its a song about tango, like Dizzy Gilespie playing Vida Mia, is it nuevo tango? All I know for sure is some of us love dancing to these flavors.
